For 24 years, Darlene has been working with business owners to develop their branding, marketing, and growth through strategic planning, identifying new opportunities, problem-solving, and implementing focused action.
During 16 years of business mentoring she has discovered that mindset and motivation are as much a key to success as planning and implementation.
Darlene has been mentoring clients for Business Mentors New Zealand since 2004, and worked with business owners in conjunction with Recover Canterbury after the major 2010 / 2011 earthquakes. In 2010 she was a finalist for the Canterbury Women in Business Award from Zonta International.
Simply Reading is her other business and a passion, where she loves developing literacy books, resources, and games to teach children reading, writing and spelling.
Darlene’s goal is to be the most trusted marketing and business consultant in New Zealand, through practical advice, specialised training, and individualised mentoring. She will continue to help business owners grow professionally and personally, both now and throughout their career, and to utilise these strategies in all areas of their lives.

MOTORSPORT – Her Other Passion
Darlene has been competing in motorsport for the last twelve years, including winning both individual and team events in New Zealand and Australia. She competes in multiple motorsport events – speedway, rally and off-road racing.
